Working with other clinicians
Psychologists, allied health and psychiatrists
For the thinking and feeling side, a psychologist in the network. With a Mental Health Treatment Plan from a GP, Medicare pays part of up to 10 sessions a year.
For daily life, occupational therapists and coaches turn the plan into routines.
Where the picture is more complex, such as another serious mental illness or a history that makes stimulants risky, a psychiatrist is the right choice. That needs a GP referral. You’ll find psychiatrists in the network too.
Ask at your appointment how your GP shares information with your other clinicians.
