Privacy policy
Last updated 26 September 2026
1. Introduction
This privacy policy explains how ADHDme (“ADHDme”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use our website, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us.
2. Who we are and how this policy works
ADHDme is an online directory that helps people in Australia find ADHD clinicians, including GPs, psychologists, allied health clinicians and coaches. We don’t provide health care.
The clinicians and practices listed on ADHDme are separate from us. When you book with a practice or use its booking system, the practice handles your personal information under its own privacy policy.
3. Personal information we collect
The personal information we collect depends on how you use ADHDme. It can include:
- Contact details and messages: your email address and anything you send us
- Newsletter details: when you subscribed, the signup form you used, and whether you open or click our emails
- Device and website data: IP address, approximate location based on your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, clicks, referral URLs and session data
We don’t ask for your name, phone number or any health information, and you don’t need an account to use the website.
4. How we collect personal information
We collect personal information:
- from you, when you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us
- automatically, when you use the website, through cookies and similar technologies
5. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- run, maintain and improve the website
- understand how people use the website, including which pages and clinicians they find useful
- send our newsletter and reply to your messages
- keep the website secure and meet our legal obligations
We don’t use personal information to make automated decisions about you. See our automated decisions statement for more.
6. Sharing personal information
We may share personal information with:
- technology providers that help us run the website and newsletter, such as hosting, analytics and email services
- regulators, courts and law enforcement where required by law
When you click a booking link, you leave ADHDme for the practice’s booking page. The link includes a tag that tells the practice the visit came from ADHDme. We don’t sell personal information.
Our service providers may store or process personal information in the United States. When we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- operate the website and remember your preferences
- understand how the website is used (analytics)
Our analytics provider, PostHog, may record sessions to show how people use a page. Anything typed into a form field is hidden before it is recorded. We don’t use advertising cookies.
You can turn off analytics on our analytics settings page, or block cookies in your browser settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to turn analytics off.
8. Keeping your personal information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encrypting information sent to and from the website. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
9. How long we keep personal information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.
10. Your choices and rights
You can:
- ask for access to the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct or delete it
- unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email

We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.
11. How to contact us
