Qualifications
Consultant psychiatrist, FRANZCP Cert Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Reach
Telehealth only, by secure video, in every state and territory. No in-person appointments.
Referral
Needed from a GP or paediatrician, by HealthLink (SAGECLIN), fax or email
Appointments
Your GP sends a referral; Sage reviews it and sends a quote for the pathway before the first appointment. Then one assessment appointment, and reviews only as needed.
Shared care
The psychiatrist diagnoses and writes the treatment plan. Your GP then prescribes and manages medication under it, with the psychiatrist available for dose changes, and a review every two or three years depending on your state. In WA the psychiatrist starts medication and hands over once the dose is stable.

What an assessment costs

$1,195
Adult ADHD assessment
$1,395
Child or adolescent ADHD assessment

A combined ADHD and autism assessment is $1,795 for adults and $1,995 for children and adolescents.

Medicare rebates under items 291 or 296 often apply to the assessment. A 25% deposit secures the appointment and the balance is due five days before it. The clinic quotes the full pathway before you book.

If medication is recommended, dose-stabilisation reviews are $255–$725 each ($145 for a 15-minute in-house GP review in WA), with Medicare rebates often applying. Once the dose is stable your GP usually takes over prescribing. A later psychiatrist review is $995 for adults and $1,095 for children, every two or three years depending on your state.

Fees are set and charged by the practice. ADHDme takes no commission.

Sage Clinic is an independent practice: it sets its own fees, availability and clinical approach, and ADHDme receives no part of what you pay. A GP referral is needed. This profile is written from Dr Nidyananda’s own description of their work.
